We have an exciting opportunity to recruit an Allocations & Lettings Officer on behalf of a well-established housing association. This is a 3 month temporary contract in Merseyside, with hybrid working and hourly rates up to £21.80 per hour!Your new role

  • Monitoring end-to-end process to ensure void properties are ready to let and income is maximised
  • Signing up new tenants, resolving utility issues, completing benefit applications, issuing vouchers and keys to allow tenants to access their new homes
  • Processing notices to leave, making tenancy termination decisions and tracking voids
  • Acting as first point of contact for customer calls and attending customer appointments in office, via telephone or face to face
  • Liaising with internal colleagues to ensure empty homes process is streamlined efficiently including Income, Assets, Neighbourhood Officers, Contractors and Support Services
  • Dealing with enquiries/complaints from tenants, advocates, stakeholders, MPs and elected members
  • Keeping accurate and up to date records of all customer files & applications

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience within social housing with a knowledge & understanding of the sector including sheltered accommodation
  • Understanding of allocations/lettings process - ideally having used Property Pool Plus
  • Ability to work on own initiative, prioritise workload and meet deadlines
  • Driving licence with access to own vehicle and valid business insurance
