The Company:

I'm currently seeking a 2nd Line Support Technician to join this dynamic MSP and contribute to their mission of empowering both educators and businesses. The Role:

As the lead IT expert, you'll deliver essential second-line support to a range of prestigious educational institutions across Merseyside. From managing IT systems and networks to troubleshooting complex technical issues, you'll play a key role in ensuring seamless tech operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and enhance IT systems, networks, and infrastructure to maintain optimal functionality.
  • Perform on-site visits throughout Merseyside, providing technical assistance and strategic IT recommendations.
  • Quickly diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues to minimise downtime.

Key Skills/Requirements:

  • +5 years of experience in IT support within the education sector.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of network management, cloud platforms (Office 365, Google Workspace), and server administration (Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP).
  • Familiarity with tools like Smoothwall, Aruba switches, and educational technology systems (e.g., MIS, Paxton Systems).
  • Proficient in Mac management, MDM software (e.g., Jamf), and print management solutions (e.g., Papercut).
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a personal vehicle for frequent travel across Merseyside.
