We are seeking a Senior Technical Architect specializing in Microsoft End User Computing (EUC) to design, implement, and manage advanced digital workplace solutions. You will focus on deploying Windows 11 Entra joined and managed solutions within a legacy domain on-premise environment, improving the Council’s IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement Microsoft EUC solutions, including Windows 11 Entra joined infrastructure in a legacy on-premise domain.
  • Manage end-to-end architecture and delivery, from design and implementation to optimization and support.
  • Develop architecture blueprints and roadmaps for EUC solutions.
  • Focus on strategic planning and leadership in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and produce technical specifications.
  • Oversee configuration, implementation, testing, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
  • Ensure compliance with security and governance policies through regular assessments.
  • Evaluate and integrate third-party solutions (such as patch management tools and cloud proxy/web content filtering).
  • Provide guidance to project teams, ensuring best practices are followed.
  • Stay updated on the latest Microsoft technologies and apply them to improve the Council’s infrastructure.
  • May contribute to procurement requirements, particularly for tools such as application release and patch management.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Microsoft certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Modern Desktop Administrator.
  • Extensive experience in technical architecture or design authority roles.
  • Proven experience deploying Windows 11 Entra joined and managed solutions.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Windows 11, and Azure platforms.
  • Experience configuring IT in legacy on-premise environments.
  • Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with ITIL and other IT service management frameworks.

Desirable:

  • Experience in a public sector or local government environment.
  • History of complex project delivery within the Microsoft ecosystem
