A leading UK logistics specialist is on the lookout for an experienced Freight Forwarder to join their dynamic team. This role involves coordinating and managing the transportation of goods via air, sea, and land, ensuring efficient delivery and compliance with regulations.

The Candidate:

  • Proven experience in freight forwarding, especially in import/export
  • Multi-modal expertise, particularly in sea and road freight
  • Strong understanding of Incoterms, shipping lines, and suppliers
  • Experience with overseas agents and shipping documentation
  • Knowledge of customs paperwork and current regulations
  • Excellent organizational and customer service skills
  • Strong communication and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and organize shipments to meet customer requirements
  • Prepare and verify shipping documentation and ensure compliance
  • Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates and resolve issues
  • Negotiate with carriers to secure optimal rates and services
  • Track shipments and prepare performance reports
  • Manage cost estimates, quotations, and invoicing
