Position: Head of Civil Litigation

My client is looking for an enthusiastic leader who can bring expertise to the team and contribute to their continued success.

They are seeking a dynamic individual with 6+ years of qualification and team leader experience to join as Head of Civil Litigation.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of annual billing of profit costs
  • Experience in leading a litigation department
  • Strong understanding of firm budgets and income
  • Ability to train junior members of the team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and motivating a team of individuals at varying levels
  • Setting objectives, monitoring performance, providing feedback, and supporting professional development
  • Holding team meetings
  • Conducting monthly 1-2-1 performance reviews
  • Fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
  • Planning and distributing workload
  • Ensuring compliance with legal procedures and best practices
  • Staying up to date with legal developments related to the team, department, and wider unit
  • Acting as the first point of contact for client complaints

Location: Merseyside

Working Pattern:

  • Monday to Thursday: 9 am - 5.30 pm
  • Friday: 9 am - 2 pm

Annual Leave: 30 days a year (including Bank Holidays)

Christmas Shut Down: Close for 2 weeks over Christmas and New Year
