Reed are currently working in partnership with a well established retailer who are actively searching for a Head of Sourcing position. This is an exciting role to play a key part in the businesses growth plans.
Purpose:Will spearhead the sourcing strategy to secure top-quality products at competitive prices, while fostering strong relationships with global manufacturing partners. This role emphasises factory selection, pricing negotiations & product sourcing processes, with a significant focus on NPD.Duties:
- Sourcing Strategy: Develop & implement comprehensive product sourcing strategy, identify & onboard new suppliers, negotiate pricing, support NPD
- Factory Selection: Lead factory selection, build strategic relationships with manufacturing partners, oversee factory audits
- Product Management & Development: Provide insights on supplier innovation, act as a bridge between internal & external partners, coordinate production schedules
- Pricing and Cost Management: Establish pricing strategies, analyse material cost trends, optimise costs
- Compliance: Ensure all sourced products comply with regulatory standards, oversee product testing, manage the compliance team
- Collaboration & Leadership: Collaborate with Brand & Product Managers, provide support to sourcing team, monitor KPIs
Person:
- Understanding of global sourcing, procurement, manufacturing process, quality standards, compliance
- Negotiation, analytical, communication, leadership
- 4 years in product sourcing, procurement, or supply chain. Track record in factory selection, supplier negotiation, costs
