Paying up to £350 per dayA well-known not-for-profit organisation based in Liverpool is seeking an Interim Head of Procurement whilst they recruit the position on a permanent basis. This position involves leading the procurement team and managing procurement activities, ensuring compliance and value for money across all categories of third-party expenditure.

THE ROLE

As Interim Head of Procurement your key responsibilities will include:

  • Driving transformational change to create a professional, commercially focused procurement culture
  • Managing the performance, development, and achievements of the procurement team
  • Leading complex tenders and strategically important procurement activities
  • Advising on procurement risks and ensuring compliance with Public Contract Regulations 2015 and other relevant legislation
  • Developing procurement strategies that support organisational objectives and deliver best value outcomes
  • Providing high-quality reports, analysis, and advice to senior leaders

THE PERSON

  • Fully qualified MCIPS with senior-level procurement experience
  • Strong knowledge of public sector procurement, including Public Contract Regulations 2015
  • Proven ability to manage complex, high-risk projects and lead change management initiatives
  • Excellent negotiation skills and commercial acumen to achieve value from supplier contracts
  • Experience building trust with senior leaders and influencing decision-making
