Site Manager / Depot Operations Manager, Salary: Up to £60k + car allowance and excellent benefits, Location: Speke, Liverpool

We have an exciting opportunity for a Site Manager / Depot Operations Manager to join a market leading and national organisation. We are keen to hear from candidates with a proven track record of leading a team and site to operational excellence, with a focus on quality control, timely delivery, and cost management. Analytical skills with the ability interpret data and metrics to drive process improvements and decision making are essential. Experience in a Site Manager / Depot Operations Manager or similar role from within a manufacturing or distribution service centre operation.

The role:

  • Responsible for delivering operational and quality excellence for the site against performance metrics.
  • P&L and cost management ownership (materials, stock, resource utilisation, and labour) and being accountable for budget variance.
  • Provide leadership to the site team with clearly defined objectives aligned with daily, weekly, monthly, and annual targets. Coaching and team development.
  • Identify and implement improvement initiatives through process improvement methodologies and innovative thinking.
  • Utilise operational excellence tools, such as data analysis and Kaizen events, to drive continuous improvement and establish monitoring systems for benefits tracking.
  • Strategically plan operations to optimise resource productivity, ensuring 100% on-time deliveries to customers.

Candidate requirements:

  • Experience in a Site Manager / Depot Operations Manager or similar role from within a manufacturing or distribution service centre operation.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to lead a team and site to operational excellence, with a focus on quality control, timely delivery, and cost management.
  • Experience of analysing and interpreting data to support decision making and deliver positive change through process and continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in logistics and delivery, including fleet utilisation and on-time deliveries, is essential.
  • P&L and cost management.
  • People management and leadership. Creating a positive and continuous improvement culture.
