We are recruiting a Technical Manager to take on a pivotal role within a fast-paced food production site. This is a highly operational role and as such youll be factory facing overseeing the technical function and ensuring all products are made to the highest technical standards and meet the requirements to maintain the relevant industry accreditation.
Youll lead a team to investigate non-conformances and apply a forensic approach to root cause analysis leading to meaningful, corrective actions designed to prevent repetition.
Youll coach and mentor your team and help develop their careers by promoting independent thinking under your strong leadership.
Maintaining the AA BRC status is a critical part of the role and with your technical know-how, you will lead both the HACCP team and all technical employees and will constantly seek improvement opportunities.
Youll lead all technical audits with both internal and external stakeholders and be the go-to person for all technical escalations on site.
What do you need?
The ideal candidate will have a number of years experience in a quality or technical leadership position within the food sector. With a real passion for the industry and the ability to galvanise a team in a demanding and challenging yet unquestionably rewarding sector. This is a role that will allow you to grow personally. Salary on the position is £60k.
With senior technical support in the wider business this role would be great for a Quality Manager looking to take the next step or a proven Technical Manager who enjoys the being at the coal face.
