We are looking for a Band 5 Podiatrist to join the Podiatry Team covering Knowsley and St Helens. This role involves providing podiatric care for both adults and children, conducting clinical assessments, and carrying out treatments both in clinics and through home visits. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently within a community setting, managing a varied caseload.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Assessment: Assess the podiatric needs of both adult and pediatric patients, and develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Clinical & Home Visits: Conduct podiatric clinics and home visits across the Knowsley and St Helens area.
  • Treatment Delivery: Provide podiatric treatments, including foot care, wound management, and nail surgery as necessary.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and caregivers on foot health, self-care, and preventive measures to support long-term care.
  • Collaboration: Work with the multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care and the best outcomes for patients.
Essential Criteria:
  • Qualifications: HCPC-registered Podiatrist.
  • Experience Level: Band 5 experience in podiatric care for both adults and children.
  • Skills: Strong clinical and communication skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Driver’s License: Ability to travel between clinics and home visits across Knowsley and St Helens (a valid UK driving license may be required).
Working Conditions:
  • Full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8:45 AM - 5:00 PM.
  • Covering both clinic-based and community (home visit) settings.
