In this essential role as a Payroll Advisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all payroll duties for a large Not For Profit organisation based in Liverpool, ensuring all finance and accounting tasks are conducted efficiently and accurately.

Description

  • Oversee all payroll duties within the organisation
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices
  • Coordinate with the HR department to verify total hours worked for each employee
  • Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors
  • Identify and recommend updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Profile

A successful Payroll Advisor should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
  • A solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices
  • An ability to handle confidential information
  • Strong communication skills, with proficiency in English
  • A high degree of professionalism and a strong work ethic
  • Strong computer skills and expertise with payroll software
