Portfolio Payroll are supporting a public sector client in Liverpool, seeking a Payroll Project Specialist to join their team on an ongoing temporary basis.

The reason for the role is due to an exciting new project within the business, requiring additional support within the payroll department, and across the wider business

The salary range is between £45,000 and £55,000, and this can be done on an hourly rate or contractual basis.

The project is due to last around 9 months, with possibility of a further 9 months with Phase 2 of the project going live in September.

You will be required to come in to the office for a minimum of 2 days each week.

Key roles and responsibilities;

  • Working under the head of payroll, to understand the company's payroll processes to confidently go in to the project
  • Support finance with the ongoing project migration
  • Complete parallel runs and rectify any issues that impact the payroll
  • Getting stuck in with the payroll processing on a monthly basis on an ad hoc basis
  • And much more!

To be considered for this role, you must have the following experience;

  • Strong payroll knowledge, including its end-to-end processes
  • Previous project and implementation experience to include parallel runs, rectifying issues etc
  • Be immediately available or on a short notice
