As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for employees across multiple sites. Key responsibilities include:
- Processing both weekly and monthly payrolls, ensuring compliance with payroll regulations
- Managing new starters, leavers, and payroll adjustments, including salary changes, deductions, and statutory payments
- Administering payroll-related benefits, including pensions, salary sacrifice schemes, and third-party deductions
- Ensuring accurate reporting and reconciliations, including payroll journals, RTI submissions, and year-end processing
- Handling payroll queries, supporting employees, and collaborating with finance and HR teams
- Identifying and implementing improvements to payroll processes and procedures
- 2+ years of payroll experience within an end to end payroll role
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and HMRC compliance
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Proficiency in Excel (lookup tables, pivot tables)
