Description
Reporting direct to the CEO, the HR Compliance and Governance Manager will oversee a broad remit across HR, Compliance, Data Protection, Health & Safety and Governance, with HR being the key focus of the role.
Key responsibilities include;
- Management of the organisation's People function, recruitment and administration, to ensure that the appropriate HR systems and procedures are in place
- To be the key point of contact with external HR Advisers to ensure internal policies and procedures comply with all Employment Law regulations, at all times
- To understand UK, sector-wide and wider emerging HR issues, assessing their HR implications and advising on/developing appropriate organisational approaches
- To provide advice and guidance to the Chief Executive and Senior Management Team, and be the central reference point, on all regulatory and compliance matters both external and internal.
- To ensure the organisation is fully compliant with and continuously adheres to, all external Regulatory, Compliance and Legal standards
- Responsible for liaising with 3rd party providers such as Health & Safety, DBS, landlords, legal providers, pensions providers etc
- Oversee office management
- Support in board meetings taking minutes and compiling board papers
Profile
This role is offered on a full-time basis of 35 hours per week, with a minimum expectation of 2 days in the Liverpool office
The ideal candidate will have a background such as a standalone HR Manager or HR Advisor, or School Business Manager, from a not for profit or public sector environment, although all profiles will be considered. You will ideally have Level 5 CIPD, although this is not essential
This is a management level role, and requires an experienced HR professional who can support a broad senior stakeholder base
