Your new companyHays are partnered exclusively with a growing procurement framework business based in Liverpool City Centre. The business has seen sustained success over the years and they are recruiting an experienced Procurement Manager to join them on the next stage of their growth. They've recently moved to a modern new office space in the heart of Liverpool with great amenities nearby.Your new roleThe Procurement Manager will work closely with public-sector clients around the UK to provide procurement guidance and advice on compliant routes to market via the utilisation of the company's framework solutions, whilst building and maintaining strong working relationships with customers. As the in-house procurement expert, you will work with internal stakeholders to provide procurement guidance to the wider team. Engaging with the external market, you will host webinars for public-sector clients relating to relevant procurement market updates, such as changes in legislation or trends within the market. As the Procurement Manager, you will advise public-sector customers on the most cost-effective way to source consultants and contractors to deliver high-value construction / capital construction projects.What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven background in public-sector procurement at Senior Buyer / Procurement Manager / Purchasing Manager level (or similar)
  • Category experience within construction - ESSENTIAL
  • Detailed knowledge of the new Procurement Act 2023
  • Strong stakeholder relationship management skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Willingness to travel to meet clients across the UK (this is of course paid for by the company!)
