Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in cost management, project estimation, and financial oversight, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate cost estimates and tenders for construction and refurbishment projects.
Assess project requirements, specifications, and drawings to determine costings.
Conduct risk analysis and value engineering to optimize cost-effectiveness.
Manage and track project budgets, ensuring cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and maintain strong relationships.
Prepare and submit valuations, variations, and final accounts.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, contractual obligations, and company policies.
Provide detailed cost reports and financial analysis to senior management.
Requirements:
Degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Estimator within the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of cost estimation, procurement, and contract management.
Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to work.
