Senior Quantity Surveyor

Our client, a multi-disciplinary consultancy, is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their Stockport office. Since its establishment in 2003, the company has evolved into a forward-thinking team of professionals, focusing on design, property care, and the management of built environments.

With ambitious expansion plans-including the recent addition of two new offices-this opening presents an excellent opportunity for either a Quantity Surveyor or a Senior Quantity Surveyor to step into a busy role. Currently, the Stockport office employs 25 staff and manages an expanding workload across education, ecclesiastical, and commercial projects. Significantly, there is a clear path for the right individual to progress into a Head of Quantity Surveying position, leading the development of this key function within the consultancy.

Candidates should have solid experience as a Quantity Surveyor in a consultancy or client-side environment, or demonstrable expertise in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs).

• Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and cost estimates for various projects.
• Manage project budgets, monitor costs, and provide financial reporting to stakeholders.
• Conduct valuations, prepare interim payment applications, and manage final accounts.
• Collaborate with design and project teams to ensure cost-effective solutions.
• Provide advice on contract administration and resolve any contractual or financial disputes.

• Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor for a construction consultancy or client-side
• Willing to commute to Stockport as required
• Ideally, experience in education or high-rise residential projects (preferred but not essential)
• MRICS qualified or working towards accreditation (not essential if experienced)
