Cover Supervisor

Tradewind are currently recruiting for a Cover Supervisor for a secondary school in L25. As a Long-Term Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of learning within classrooms. You will supervise students, ensuring that they remain on task, engaged, and behave in accordance with our school policies. While the role does not require planning lessons, you will follow teacher instructions and deliver pre-prepared work to students. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising students during lessons, ensuring they complete set work.
  • Managing classroom behavior in line with the school's behavior policy.
  • Assisting with student queries and offering support where necessary.
  • Maintaining a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Supporting the smooth running of the school day, including registration and supervision during break/lunch times.

The ideal Learning Support Assistant will have:

  • Previous experience working with children
  • A degree (preferred)

The Essentials:

  • Hold an enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service, or be prepared to undertake a new disclosure (cost of DBS is refunded after working 20 days)
  • A full, 10-year career history and be able to provide a minimum of 2 references
  • Legal right to work in the UK
  • A minimum of 2 professional references including one from your most recent employer
