About the Role:Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our client SEND schools across Liverpool and the surrounding areas. These schools cater to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), and we are looking for individuals who are passionate about supporting children in their learning and personal development.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to provide tailored support to students in a nurturing and inclusive environment. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of young learners while developing your own professional skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the delivery of learning activities and lessons for students with SEND.
  • Provide one-to-one support or work with small groups of students.
  • Help students develop their social, emotional, and academic skills.
  • Support students with personal care needs, where applicable.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers.
  • Contribute to creating an inclusive, safe, and supportive classroom environment.

About You:

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable.
  • Experience working with SEND students is beneficial but not essential.
  • A positive and flexible approach with a genuine passion for working with children.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting the individual needs of students.
