The Role:

We are recruiting for Teaching Assistants to work in Secondary Schools around Liverpool and surrounding area's. The role will be a mix of supporting students who have SEN needs and general teaching assistant support.

The successful candidate will be equipped with the attitude, experience and mannerism to work closely with SENDCO and regularly liaise with them over the progress that is being made in class.

Pay is always negotiable depending on experience, and can be up to £110 a day, especially if you can impress during a paid trial, which the schools are more than happy to arrange to give you a real taste but the minimum pay we guarantee is £90 a day. Experience is very much required, and this is a great opportunity to get into a setting where you can challenge yourself and make a real difference.

The school’s hours of this role are 8.30am - 3.30pm.

The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant should:

  • MINIMUM 1 Year experience working with children with SEN
  • Level 2 or 3 TA Qualification or equivalent
  • Be flexible, proactive and patient
  • Be able to communicate effectively within a team
  • Be resilient, passionate and driven to go above and beyond for children of all needs
  • Have a Background in Education
  • Training or experience in non-verbal communication is preferred, but a willingness to learn is essential. For example Makaton, PECS
