Autism Support Worker - Full Time - Liverpool

Are you looking for an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder?

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a full-time Autism Support Worker to provide support to our client SEND Schools and their students. The role will be working with young people between 11-19 years old on a full time basis.

We work with a number of schools in Liverpool and Sefton so can support you in finding a role that is convenient for you.

The role will be Monday to Friday and will require you to work between the hours of 8.30am and 3.30pm.

Please note - we are only accepting full time applicants for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Work on a 1:1 and small group basis with children who have additional needs.
  • Supporting the class teacher to deliver engaging and differentiated sessions.
  • Supporting children to thrive both academically and socially.
  • Create a fun, safe and supportive environment for children to thrive.
  • Assist with personal care.

Requirements:

  • Must have recent and relevant experience working with children or adults with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
  • Be available Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 3.30pm.
  • Be comfortable at providing personal care.
  • Have a DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
