We are seeking dedicated Community Support Workers to provide comprehensive care and support to children and young people with diverse needs. This role involves safeguarding the welfare of young people, attending to their practical, physical, and emotional needs, and acting as a positive role model to help them achieve their full potential.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Motivate service users to engage with their local community and participate in positive activities.
  • Commit to assignments, providing structure and stability for service users.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with young people, offering them unconditional and positive regard.
  • Act as a role model, demonstrating appropriate pro-social ways of dealing with problems.
  • Follow and adapt each young person’s care plan to reflect their evolving needs.
  • Address the physical, emotional, behavioural, cultural, and educational needs of young people.
  • Provide emotional support during times of difficulty or stress.
  • Be ambitious for young people, assisting them in achieving their goals and realising their potential.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Suitable to work with children & young people within a care setting.
  • Ability to relate to and communicate with young people, maintaining appropriate relationships and boundaries.
  • Awareness of safeguarding issues with the ability to safeguard the welfare of young people.
  • Emotional resilience in working with challenging behaviours.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience working in the care sector in the UK.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • An up-to-date DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service (assistance available for new DBS applications).
  • Reference information covering the last 5 years of work history.
