Youth Support Worker

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking experienced Youth Support Workers to take on the role of a Teaching Assistant in SEND Schools in Liverpool. The role will require you to support children with SEMH or SEND needs who struggle to regulate their emotions.

As a Youth Support Worker, you will have a number of transferable skills and experience that will provide a unique skill set to support children with additional needs.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing essential support to students with SEND. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with teachers to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Providing 1:1 and small group support to students with diverse learning needs.
  • Offering emotional and behavioural support to students.
  • Working closely with teachers and staff to implement Educational Health Care Plans.

Requirements:

  • A passion for working with children and young people with SEND.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
  • A CV covering your educational and employment history.
