Support Worker - Supporting Missing from Home Young People

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to provide vital support to those who have been reported missing from home.

In this role, you will carry out return home interviews, offering independent advocacy and ensuring that each young person's voice is heard and their needs are met. By identifying key factors influencing their decisions to go missing, you will play a crucial part in shaping care plans that lead to better outcomes.

You will engage with young people in a way that is flexible, creative, and child-centred, ensuring they receive education and advice on the risks of running away. Through accurate record-keeping and intelligence sharing, you will work closely with allocated Social Workers and the Police to safeguard and protect those at risk.

This role requires a proactive approach to understanding the unique challenges each child faces within their family and community. By collaborating with partner agencies, you will advocate for appropriate interventions and contribute to a service that truly makes a difference.

If you are committed to safeguarding children, influencing positive change, and acting as a trusted advocate, we would love to hear from you.
