Responsibilities of this role

  • Taking duty calls, signposting, and providing preventive support to residents and their carers to help manage risks and maintain wellbeing and prevent harm
  • Working autonomously, acting safely, and ensuring accountable professional practice. Making decisions, and escalating issues for management attention as appropriate.
  • Working in a strengths-based, person-centred approach to promote the rights and wellbeing of service users and carers.
  • Ensuring professional curiosity, principles and values of honesty, openness, dignity, respect, and diversity in practice
  • Completing visits and undertaking assessments of individuals and carers to encourage independence, provide support and prevent harm.
  • Assisting with safeguarding enquiries.

Requirements of this role:

  • Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
  • Must have a Social Work qualification (Diploma in social work, social work degree or equivalent)
  • Must have minimum of 3 years post qualifying experience working as a Qualified social worker
