Our client is a reputable social housing provider committed to maintaining high-quality living standards. They are seeking an experienced and proactiveGroundworkerto join a dynamic and dedicated reactive maintenance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out reactive maintenance and emergency repairs to tenanted properties, including groundworks, flagging and fencing.
- Respond to calls for urgent repairs and maintenance, prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Digging, levelling, and preparing areas for repairs and installations.
- Repairing and maintaining external works, drainage systems, pathways, and other groundworks.
- Undertake minor excavation and reinstatement works following repairs.
- Ensure that all work complies with health and safety standards and regulations.
- Complete reports and documentation for completed works and provide feedback to the site manager.
- Liaise with clients and tenants to ensure satisfaction and provide updates on progress.
- Work in a team with other maintenance operatives and contractors to complete jobs efficiently.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Groundworker, ideally within social housing reactive maintenance.
- Good understanding of groundwork techniques, flagging and fencing.
- Valid CSCS card (or equivalent) and relevant qualifications.
- Experience in reactive maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and customer service-focused attitude.
- Full UK driving license and ability to drive a company vehicle.
- Ability to work flexibly, including potential out-of-hours work for emergency callouts.
