About the Role:We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Male Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support for a KS2 child with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a welcoming and inclusive school in South Liverpool. This is a great opportunity to make a positive impact on a child's learning and development journey, offering tailored support to help them reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support for and SEN Child in Year 5, focusing on their educational, emotional, and social development.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individualised education plans (IEPs).
  • Encourage and support positive behaviour and engagement in learning activities.
  • Promote a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children, particularly those with SEN, is essential.
  • Education-related qualifications are not essential but highly desired for the role.
  • Patience, empathy, enthusiasm and excellent communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to build positive and trusting relationships with children, parents, and staff.
  • An understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
