SEMH Support Assistant- L13
Milk Education are recruiting for a purpose-driven, ambitious SEMH Support Assistant to join an exceptional SEMH Primary School in L13, Liverpool to work on a long-term or short-term basis starting as soon as possible!
You’ll be joining an inclusive and supportive school, focused on diversity and promoting a loving academic environment for those with additional needs.

SEMH Support Assistant Responsibilities & Duties:
- To encourage students to contribute to their individual Learning Plans; take an active part in planning their own future and to accept responsibility for their actions and works towards managing their behaviour
- To enable every student to become a positive, responsible member of society with encouragement to participate in a range of outside interests.
- To form appropriate relationships with adults and other students in a caring, nurturing environment.
- To ensure that the blend of teaching and care staff work co-operatively together so that individual Learning Plans are tailored to meet each individual students needs.
- To develop the positive self-esteem and confidence of all students.
The SEMH Support candidate must have:
- Have proven experience working with pupils with SEMH / SEN in a school or alternative provision
- Have the ability to differentiate work according to each individual child’s needs
- Be resilient, show enthusiasm and commitment
- Have good organisational skills
- Have good literacy and numeracy skills
- Have good behaviour management skills
