SEN Teaching Assistant- Liverpool

Milk Education are recruiting for a SEN Learning Support Assistant for a SEN School located in the Allerton area of Liverpool (L17) to work on a long-term basis starting as soon as possible! The schools we are working with cater to students from both primary and secondary ages with a range of complex SEN needs. This is a school, who prides itself on being happy and caring, with high standards of attainment and behaviour.

SEND Teaching Assistant Role & Responsibilities:

  • Promote inclusion and acceptance of all students
  • Support the pupil consistently on a 1:1 basis whilst responding to their individual needs
  • Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/plans as appropriate
  • Deliver catch-up sessions

SEND Teaching Assistant Non-negotiables:

  • Must have recent/relevant experience working with children and young people, specifically those with SEND.
  • Must have a passion for education
  • Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the teacher
  • Must have experience using Personal Care
