Job Title: Sports Coach Pathway to Teaching Assistant Location: Crosby, Liverpool Position: Sports Coach (Future Teaching Assistant) Type of Work: Full-time Start Date: ASAP Duration: Ongoing Contract Type: Long-term Temp Minimum Rate of Pay: GBP95+ per day Hours: 8:30 am 3:30 pm About Us Are you passionate about sports and working with children? Join a supportive and inclusive primary school in Crosby, where we are looking for a Sports Coach who is interested in transitioning into a Teaching Assistant role. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a sports background to develop classroom skills while continuing to engage and inspire children through physical activity. Your Role As a Sports Coach & Trainee Teaching Assistant, you will: Deliver engaging and structured sports sessions to children of different ages and abilities. Support teachers in PE lessons and encourage a love for physical activity. Assist in the classroom, working with small groups and individuals to support their learning. Help manage behaviour and engagement through structured activities. Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to support children with additional needs. Gain valuable classroom experience, developing your skills towards a full-time Teaching Assistant role. What Were Looking For We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive individual who has: Experience in coaching sports (football, rugby, athletics, etc.) with young people. A passion for working with children and helping them develop confidence through physical activity. A keen interest in progressing into a Teaching Assistant role. Strong communication and teamwork skills. A positive, energetic, and motivational approach. Eligibility Requirements To be considered for this role, you must: Hold the Right to Work in the UK. Have an enhanced DBS certificate on the update service (or be willing to apply for one). Provide two professional references related to coaching or childcare. Hold up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable, but not essential as training is provided).
