Our school provides a nurturing and structured learning environment for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring they receive the tailored support they need to thrive. We are looking for a patient, dedicated, and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team and provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs. Your Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will: Support children with additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and speech & language difficulties. Provide 1:1 and small group interventions to enhance learning and engagement. Assist in implementing EHCPs (Education, Health, and Care Plans) and behaviour support strategies. Create a calm, safe, and structured learning environment. Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists to support each childs progress. Foster social, emotional, and academic development, helping children build confidence and independence. What Were Looking For We are seeking a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant who has: A Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3) or equivalent. Previous experience working with children with SEN, particularly those with autism, ADHD, or SEMH. A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach to supporting childrens individual needs. Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with staff and parents. Eligibility Requirements To be considered for this role, you must: Hold the Right to Work in the UK. Have an enhanced DBS certificate on the update service (or be willing to apply for one). Provide two professional references related to childcare. Hold up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable, but not essential as training is provided).
