The School and Role

Vision for Education are working with a warm and vibrant Catholic primary school in Bootle, Sefton, who are looking for a dedicated SEN Classroom Support Assistant to join their team.  This full-time role will begin in January after the Christmas break, and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a child with complex needs in a year 1 class.  The child has some challenging behaviour and needs boundaries and routines put in place, so the successful candidate must have strong behaviour management skills.  The school has a single-form entry and a reputation for excellence, having been rated Outstanding in their latest Ofsted inspection. With a strong commitment to fostering high aspirations and improving outcomes for children and young people with Special Educational Needs, the school aims to equip students with the skills and confidence to succeed both academically and in their future lives.

Candidate Requirements

We are seeking a Classroom Assistant who:

  • Has experience working with primary-aged children.
  • Demonstrates a passion for fostering the progress and development of young learners.
  • Is a team player with strong communication skills.
  • Have, or be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
