Year 1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Kirkby, Knowsley
Hours: Full Time (8:30am - 3:30pm)

The Governing Body of a Kirkby-based Primary School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated, and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role involves providing tailored support to a KS1 pupil with ASD, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to deliver targeted assistance, fostering both academic progress and personal development. Recent and relevant experience in supporting children with ASD is essential for this position. Role Responsibilities:
- Provide dedicated, daily support to a Year 1 student with tailored learning and developmental needs;
- Assist with classroom activities, ensuring the student can engage effectively with individual and group tasks;
- Support the child's emotional and social development, fostering confidence and positive relationships;
- Collaborate closely with teachers and staff to develop and implement personalised learning plans.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience working with children with SEN, particularly within an educational setting;
- A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach to supporting children's needs;
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
