We are partnering with specialist schools in Sefton to provide crucial support for children and young people with a range of Special Educational Needs. As a Teaching Assistant, you'll help nurture and guide pupils with diverse needs, including Autism, ADHD, PMLD, SLD, and CLD. What You'll Do:
  • Work with students who have a variety of Special Educational Needs, including Autism, ADHD, and Physical Disabilities.
  • Be a creative, confident, and resilient behaviour mentor, fostering positive learning relationships with each student.
  • Deliver lessons and support across a wide range of classes, ensuring students engage and progress.
  • Plan and prepare lessons using the P Scales curriculum, tailored to meet individual needs.
  • Build a trusting rapport with SEN pupils, promoting their confidence and independence.
  • Support the delivery of curriculum content while maintaining a calm, encouraging classroom environment.
  • Bring a patient, professional, and passionate approach to your role each day.
What We're Looking For:
  • Previous experience working with SEN pupils is a plus, but not essential.
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
  • A positive, can-do attitude with an eagerness to support pupils' progress.
  • A commitment to working in a school environment and helping to create a positive learning experience.
  • Availability to start ASAP and the potential to move into a permanent role.
