Job Title: SEND Learning Support Assistant (LSA)Location: Liverpool
Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We are looking for a dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive school community in Liverpool. In this role, you will provide personalized support to students, helping them engage with their learning and develop essential skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with a range of SEND, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and other learning or physical disabilities
- Provide 1:1 or small group assistance, adapting activities to meet individual needs
- Assist with implementing EHCPs and working with the SEND team to achieve goals
- Encourage social and emotional growth, fostering a positive learning environment
- Work closely with teachers to ensure students receive tailored support in the classroom
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with SEND children in an educational setting
- Strong understanding of SEND needs and effective support strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
- Team player with a commitment to student wellbeing and inclusion
