Unqualified Behaviour TA- L12

Milk Education are recruiting for a purpose-driven, ambitious Behaviour Teaching assistant to join an exceptional Secondary school in Liverpool to work on a long-term or short-term basis starting as soon as possible!

You’ll be joining an inclusive and supportive school, focused on diversity and promoting a loving academic environment for students with behavioural challenges.

This is an exciting role for an experienced educator to join a fantastic school to support pupils in reaching their potential!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support small groups of students who require additional guidance in and out of lessons.
  • Act as a role model, helping students manage their behaviour and engage positively with learning.
  • Provide 1:1 and small group mentoring sessions, focusing on personal development and academic motivation.
  • Assist teachers in classroom management, ensuring students remain on task and involved in lessons.
  • Implement behaviour strategies to encourage positive decision-making and emotional regulation.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working as a Behaviour Mentor, Pastoral Support, or Teaching Assistant in an SEMH setting.
  • A strong role model with the ability to build positive relationships with students.
  • Excellent behaviour management skills and the ability to de-escalate challenging situations.
  • A patient, understanding, and resilient approach to supporting students with additional needs,
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
