We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teacher to join our Specialist SEND school on a maternity cover contract, starting September 2025. This exciting opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about teaching and making a real difference in the lives of young learners.

As a SEND Teacher, you will be supporting the delivery of engaging lessons and taking small groups for targeted interventions. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact on the development and progress of children at this crucial stage in their education.

This school is a specialist provision for children with moderate learning needs, social & emotional mental health and Autism. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons to SEND pupils.

  • Work collaboratively with the current class teachers to plan, prepare, and assess lessons.

  • Lead small group interventions to support children’s individual learning needs.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages children to thrive.

  • Support the wider school community and participate in school activities as required.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A qualified teacher with experience or a strong interest in teaching SEND - MLD - SEMH - ASD.

  • ECTs are welcome to apply – full support will be provided.

  • A passion for supporting children’s development and helping them reach their potential.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

  • A positive and proactive approach to teaching, with a commitment to creating a nurturing learning environment.
