SEND Support Specialist - Liverpool

Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Support Assistant to join one of our exceptional schools in Liverpool. This is a long-term position, starting as soon as possible, where you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students with complex additional needs.

You'll be joining an inclusive and nurturing school, committed to creating a safe and supportive academic environment for all students. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced educator to help students with Special Educational Needs (SEND) reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote inclusion and acceptance for all students
  • Provide consistent 1:1 support to students, addressing their individual needs
  • Collaborate with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating, and adapting lessons to meet the needs of students
  • Deliver catch-up sessions to help students progress academically
  • Assist with personal care needs where appropriate

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

  • Recent relevant experience working with children and young people, particularly those with SEND
  • A genuine passion for education and supporting students
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills
  • Ability to work effectively under the guidance of the teacher
  • Experience in personal care for students with additional needs is required
