Your new companyOur client, an established organisation based in West Lothian, is currently seeking a Financial Accountant to join their team. Your new roleIn your new role, you will play a key role between the Financial Controller and Junior Staff to provide guidance about best practice processes alongside company direction. This is a varied role which will include the below duties:

  • Tasked with assisting in the creation of annual Statutory Accounts
  • Supervise and manage all general accounting functions, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, taxes, treasury, and cash management.
  • Accountable for forecasting cash flow.
  • Develop and improve processes
  • Review, analyse, and upload monthly accounting statements, trial balance, and reporting pack for group consolidation.
  • Prepare financial statements and statutory entries for tax purposes
  • Ensure the accuracy and compliance of general accounting based on IFRS and UK GAAP.
  • Manage relationships with both internal and external auditors, banks, and authorities.
  • Act as a line manager for one direct report.

What you'll need to succeedIn order to succeed in this role, you will need to be a motivated finance professional who has a track record of working effectively in a team setting but can also work autonomously.
