A new FPGA Design Engineer - VHDL job has recently come available with an established research and development company in Livingston, Scotland, just west of Edinburgh.
This company has been in operation for over 16 years and has grown significantly over recent years. The growth continues with an additional requirement for a FPGA Design Engineer. Their offices are commutable from parts of Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling and Falkirk and they generally work in the office on 2 days and offer flexible hours.
The successful hire will be involved in making architectural decisions about the hardware design and the FPGA’s used and will work closely with the larger R&D team.
Key skills / experience required for the FPGA Design Engineer - VHDL job:
- Strong experience with high-speed FPGA designs in VHDL
- Ability and experience in designing products from initial specification through to prototype phase
- Ability to define architectures from a product specification
- The ability to solve complex technical problems
