Position Overview: The Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and expanding sales operations across Scotland. This role involves selling products through contractors and merchants, focusing on both maintaining existing relationships and developing new business opportunities. The designated area is well-established and currently meeting its targets, presenting a promising platform for further growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy Development: Formulate and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and surpass sales targets within the assigned territory.
  • Client Relationship Management: Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing contractors and merchants, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities by targeting potential clients and expanding the customer base within the region.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities and threats, adapting strategies accordingly.
  • Technical Support: Provide clients with technical guidance on product applications, ensuring they understand the benefits and proper usage of geotextile products.

You'll have the following

  • Industry Experience: Proven experience in sales within the civils or related construction materials industry, with a strong understanding of selling through contractors and merchants.
  • Sales Acumen: Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyse market data and trends to make informed business decisions.
  • Self-Motivation: Highly motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
