Reed Finance are supporting one of our clients based in West Lothian to recruit for a new Finance Manager opportunity.

Reporting into the on-site Managing Director, the successful candidate will be fully responsible for end-end finance, working closely with non-finance stakeholders and ensuring robust financial controls are in place.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Qualified Accountant to secure a number 1 finance role in a growing organisation which offers professional development.

Key Duties

  • Owning and completing the monthly management accounting pack, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and statement of source and application of funding
  • Conducting monthly variance analysis, forecasting, budgeting, expense reporting, material & labour usage
  • Defining and driving improvement projects for financial processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost savings
  • Preparing monthly VAT returns and Intrastat submissions, as well as short & long-term budgets and cashflows
  • Managing the preparation and filing of annual returns and be the point of contact for auditors.
  • Overseeing stock control, inventory management, and maintain the fixed asset register
  • Ensuring high-quality financial controls are in place and standardise procedures across the business

Candidate

  • Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 3 years post qualified experience
  • A hands-on finance professional with a strong understanding of management accounting and financial reporting
  • Strong Ms Excel skills & experience with multiple ERP systems
  • Strong drive for continuous improvement and a track record of achieving results
  • Excellent communication skills, able to engage with finance and non-finance staff at all levels
  • Ability to challenge and influence key personnel for the benefit of the business
