They are seeking a talented and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join their team and contribute to the continued success of their projects across Scotland.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects.
Preparation and submission of accurate cost plans, tender documents, and project valuations.
Monitor project finances, including preparation of interim valuations, cost reports, and final accounts.
Measure and value work done on-site, ensuring that all variations are managed efficiently.
Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
Provide financial advice and support to the project team to help manage project risks.
Work closely with the project managers, design teams, and site teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
Engage in value engineering exercises to ensure cost efficiency without compromising quality.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
Demonstrated experience in a Quantity Surveyor role, preferably with a main contractor.
RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or equivalent professional qualification is advantageous.
Strong knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts.
Proficient in cost management software and Microsoft Office suite.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
