CK Group are recruiting for a Lab Analyst, to join a company in the Clinical Research industry, working on site in Livingston, on a contract basis for 6 months initially.

Location:
This Lab Analyst role is based on site in Livingston, West Lothian.


Lab Technician Role:
  • Assists in troubleshooting & process improvements to increase data quality, lower costs, or reduce turnaround times to include, updating standard procedures, assisting with troubleshooting.
  • Acts as a technical resource for laboratory staff & support the team in the absence of the line manager.
  • Performs routine data analysis to determine if an analytical procedure is proceeding according to expectations & that the results are within acceptable tolerances.
  • Identifies and documents potential performance errors or otherwise unusual results and escalates to senior lab personnel.
  • Prepares data analysis results for upload to LIMS system under the guidance of senior level staff.
  • Contributes to CAPA investigations, deviations, and resolution.

Your Background:

  • Bachelors Degree Or equivalent combination of education and experience (Some CAP/CLIA lab locations may require a BSc in in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science, medical laboratory technology or cytotechnology.).
  • Previous working experience in a regulated laboratory environment.
  • Proficiency with routine and some non-routine laboratory calculations regarding batches and specimens including averages, means, standard deviations, and various quality control metrics.
  • Good computer skills using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
