Financial AdministratorFull-Time & PermanentLlanelli£24-26,000 per annumAn opportunity has arisen for a highly numerate, organised and efficient administrator to join this Carmarthenshire business! Working closely with the Finance Manager and supporting the wider office team, this could be a fantastic role for an established financial clerk with plenty of experience of accounts payable/receivable.........alternatively an adaptable and organised administration assistant who has either some basic finance exposure, or who has studied AAT. Your duties will be varied and will include;

  • Generating and administering PO numbers
  • Customer and supplier statement reconciliations
  • Data entry relating to accounts payable and receivable
  • Liaising with suppliers and customers to resolve statement and invoice queries.

You will administer petty cash and employee expenses, manage and update files and spreadsheets and also cover key areas such as front-of-house and the ordering of supplies, such as stationary. This is an extremely varied role; this list is not exhaustive and one of the key requirements of this role is that you will need to apply your initiative to support best practice, comply with company initiatives and legislation such as GDPR requirements. Due to the nature of this industry, there will always be something new happening; you will have the opportunity to assist with new initiatives and projects and once you have settled within the role, there will be plenty of scope for you to take ownership of key tasks and duties. This is an amazing chance to develop your financial experience if you are just starting down the career path; finance duties will generally account for 70% of your working week and there will be support and training to help you develop and reach your potential.Experience with Microsoft Office is essential for this role; you will need to have a good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook for the management of data and communications. Any experience or training with SAGE accounting software will also be hugely advantageous. Remember; you don't HAVE to be a finance assistant at present (although applications from finance assistants are most welcome!) but you must have a passion for numbers and have already put some effort into pursuing a career in finance.... that could look like voluntary experience or having already embarked upon a course of study such as a SAGE course or your AAT.Apply by uploading a copy of your CV; call Emma Lewis on for more details.
