Ford & Stanley Talentwise are on the lookout for passionate and driven Test Technicians to complete electrical fault finding and testing on cutting-edge rolling stock vehicles for CAF UK. Be part of an exciting new era in rail, working on next-generation rail vehicles at a state-of-the-art production facility in Newport, Wales.

Shift Patterns / Hours:
• Days: Monday to Thursday – 7AM-4PM, Friday – 7AM-1PM
• Shifts: Monday to Thursday – 6AM-3PM or 2PM-11PM, Friday – 6AM-11AM or 2PM-7PM

Contract Length: 6 months +

Your Role:

As a Test Technician, you’ll be at the heart of bringing modern rail vehicles to life. You will:
• Bring designs to reality by completing in-depth fault finding and testing, using testing equipment.
• Ensure safety by completing essential, service testing to Rolling Stock units.
• Problem-solve by identifying and diagnosing electrical faults on the units, to ensure they can go into service, you'll also be able to follow electrical schematics to find the root cause of faults 
• Be hands-on in maintaining your equipment and keeping workspaces clean and well-organized.
• Drive excellence by following all safety and quality procedures, and completing all relevant records—both manually and digitally.

• Electrical testing expertise – You’ve got the hands-on know-how and technical understanding to thrive in an testing department, ensuring faults are accurately logged and rectified.
• Team spirit – You collaborate well with others and are ready to build strong relationships in a close-knit team.
• Safety-first mindset – You know the importance of working to strict safety standards, especially in a safety-critical environment.

Essential Skills:
• Ability to follow written instructions, diagrams, and verbal directions.
• Able to use testing equipment; may include laptops, multi-meters.
• Competent in using a variety of hand tools and equipment.
•  Previous fault finding and testing experience 
• Commitment to safe working practices at all times.
• NVQ Level 3 or relevant professional experience.
