We are looking for a dedicated Account Manager to join our sales & service team, focusing on meeting day-to-day customer requirements and managing specified accounts. This role involves contract management, ensuring the profitability of projects, and requires a willingness to travel, including regular overnight stays.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Manage key accounts, addressing customer SLA issues and reporting.
  • Project and commercial management of multiple projects from award to final account stage, in collaboration with the Project Delivery Manager.
  • Update commercial documents, including profitability overviews and revenue/cost/margin forecasts.
  • Review and track cash flows and budget trackers with the assistance of the Project Cost Account.
  • Populate the monthly business review file and discuss forecasting updates with senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements, aiming to realise maximum potential.
  • Build positive relationships with customers to enhance repeat business opportunities.
  • Raise, submit, and agree on variance orders in line with the contract.
  • Manage accounts receivable, resolving disputes and negotiating timely payments.
  • Conduct formal project reviews to assess profitability and provide feedback to project delivery and proposals teams.
  • Prepare and present customer presentations and performance reports.
  • Work with service managers to maximise revenue opportunities on key accounts.
  • Ensure that contracts are communicated effectively to all relevant parties.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of project management and commercial management.
  • Knowledge of accounting and finance, including accounting terminology.
  • Proficiency in Excel is essential.
  • Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and accounts effectively.
  • Experience in contract management and understanding of contractual milestone payments.
  • Ability to travel and stay overnight as required.
