We are seeking a dedicated Exams Access Arrangements Assessor/Coordinator to join a FE establishment in North East London. This role involves coordinating and completing the Exam Access Arrangements process across the college, ensuring compliance with JCQ and awarding body requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supporting learners with Specific Learning Difficulties and a deep understanding of educational assessment processes.

Day-to-Day of the Role of an EAA Assessor :
  • Coordinate all aspects of Exam Access Arrangements, ensuring they are processed accurately and efficiently within JCQ and awarding organisation requirements.
  • Provide specialist screening and assessment of learners with suspected and/or diagnosed Specific Learning Difficulties.
  • Work closely with learners, providing support based on assessment outcomes, and liaise with tutors and support staff to identify and address learner needs.
  • Submit applications for Exam Access Arrangements online and ensure smooth operation by coordinating with the Exams department.
  • Develop and deliver training to staff on supporting learners with Dyslexia and Specific Learning Difficulties.
  • Maintain up-to-date records and comply with GDPR and other relevant legislation.
Required Skills & Qualifications required for the EAA Assessor role :
  • Degree in a related field and a teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, QTLS, PGCE).
  • Postgraduate Level 7 qualification to assess SpLDs and Exam Access Arrangements.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience as an Exam Access Arrangements assessor.
  • Strong knowledge of JCQ regulations and procedures related to Exam Access Arrangements.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and supportively in a team.
  • Proficiency in IT and MS Office packages.
