About the Role

We are looking for a Accountant to support a leading organisation in managing financial operations related to donations and grants. This role is a maternity cover for 12 months and offers the opportunity to work within a global financial team, ensuring the smooth flow of revenue and grant distributions to charities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the financial management of revenue streams, including managing and reconciling revenue receipts.
  • Prepare monthly reports such as P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for leadership.
  • Oversee payment processing, running monthly payout reports, and reconciling banking transactions.
  • Conduct monthly revenue and grant reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Manage operational expenses, ensuring correct invoice allocations and timely payments.
  • Handle Gift Aid reporting, refining data, and submitting reports to HMRC.
  • Respond to financial queries from internal teams and external stakeholders, making necessary adjustments.
  • Drive process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
What You Need to Bring

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (actively pursuing further qualification is preferred - ACCA, CIMA, or ACA).Experience in an accounting function managing high-volume transactions.Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and financial analysis tools.Experience with automated financial systems (SAP is a plus).Ability to reconcile financial data and resolve discrepancies.Strong time management skills, able to work effectively with minimal supervision.A methodical and adaptable approach to problem-solving.
