- Lead and manage the financial support team, ensuring effective service delivery.
- Provide strategic financial advice to support medium- and long-term planning for the nominated service department.
- Assist in the preparation, monitoring, and management of capital and revenue budgets.
- Offer financial performance reporting and support service reviews, efficiency improvements, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Support the Finance Manager in key corporate finance services such as tax management, financial accounting (including year-end accounts), treasury management, and asset management.
- Contribute to corporate objectives and participate in cross-service working groups and Best Value Review teams.
- Assist with the development and delivery of Service/Business Plans.
- Champion equality and inclusion in service provision and employment.
- CCAB-qualified Accountant with relevant experience.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in line with professional body requirements.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in financial planning and budgetary control.
- Ability to provide strategic financial advice and contribute to corporate objectives.
- Experience in financial performance reporting and supporting efficiency improvement initiatives.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
